The ST-5 Venturi seat for flash applications promotes controlled expansion of steam, thereby reducing the speed of the valve outlet to an acceptable limit while avoiding turbulence.

ST-5 Venturi seats are specifically designed for Angle body valves, so exhaust from the valve internals flows directly to the valve outlet without changing the direction of flow.

Typically, the material used is 400 series stainless steel hardened with CVD-5B, which has the hardest and best resistance to flash and any abrasives that may be present in the process.
